But with the modern resurgence of the Transformers series with a new CGI, Hollywood remodel, an entirely new generation of Transformers addicts has been introduced to the stories classic appeal.

The crossover between old and brand new fans is observed in the progress of the toy Transformers figures. The kids of the nineteen-eighties have grown to adults with families of their own, but the lure of the Transformers world is still the same, if not more famous than ever!

Each great kids TV show needs a villain, and the bad guy transformers figures have amassed as large a following as the Autobots. Lead by the tyrannical, mean Megatron, the Decepticons fight Optimus Prime and his Autobots at every turn. A Megatron toy can easily get as high a selling price as an Optimus Prime figure.

The resurgence of Transformers on the silver screen has led to a new line of toys for little ones to play with. Perhaps the appeal of classic and new generation figures is the Lego-like combinations that form even bigger Transformers!

The nasty, powerful Constructicons are equipped for forming a six-piece super robot named Devastator, keeping step with the action figures from the 1980s. Decepticons are not the only Transformers figures effective at combining to make super-transformers. Supporters of the 1980s TV show will remember the Dinobots, Autobots with the personalities and shapes of dinosaurs well-liked by kids even to this day. A figure of the Dinobot leader, Grimlock, can easily sell for just as much as Optimus Prime or Megatron.

With the changing of the franchise, Hasbro and film makers have plenty of material to choose from since there are tons of Autobots and Decepticons which have yet to be released with a brand new younger target market. As of today, the Transformers movies have not introduced the popular Dinobots. Could we see them find their way into the tale before long?

While mothers and fathers may be familiar with the 1980s models of Transformers, new spins on the characters are sure to be cooler compared to the earlier versions if you ask youngsters today.
